Registered political parties have obligations under the Election Funding, Expenditure and Disclosures Act 1981 (the Act).
All political parties have annual disclosure obligations with the EFA. Party agents must lodge a disclosure with the EFA every twelve months disclosing the political donations received and electoral expenditure incurred by the party during the financial year ending 30 June.
If the party has not received any political donations nor incurred any electoral expenditure during the disclosure period, the party agent must lodge a ‘nil’ disclosure.
