The following are the eligibility requirements for an official agent for a candidate, group, elected member or third-party campaigner:
- a person who is enrolled to vote in New South Wales;
- a person who has successfully completed the online training program set by the Election Funding Authority (unless exempt); and
- a person who has not been convicted of an electoral offence, an offence against the Election Funding, Expenditure and Disclosures Act 1981, an offence involving dishonesty or an indictable offence.
Corporations cannot be appointed as official agents.
